The team’s unbeaten run came to an end on Saturday when Nottingham Forest inflicted Wolves’ first league defeat since October.

After a week’s warm weather training in Spain, they travel to face Mick McCarthy’s Ipswich Town on Saturday looking to get back to winning ways after going winless in their last three matches in all competitions.

Coady, who has started 27 of Wolves’ 28 league matches this season, has called for the team to bounce back from defeat. “We’ll be ready (for Ipswich),” he said. “We’ll rest up, learn, listen and look where we can get better. There’s a lot to learn from the (Forest) game.

“We’ll learn from it, watch it back and go again next week.

“We’ve set standards this season that we want to keep to. We want to win every single game.

“Against Forest we wanted to go out, play our way, score plenty of goals and win the game but that’s not happened.

“This Championship’s relentless, there’s game after game after game and there’s another big one this weekend against Ipswich.

“It’s about going there full of confidence.”

Wolves have a run of Saturday games for the next few weeks, a luxury they haven’t enjoyed all season.

Coady thinks the squad will benefit from the extra rest and recuperation time but said learning from their errors against Forest was more important. “It always helps when you’ve got the Saturday-Saturday games, the boys can rest up and get ready,” he added.

“But the main thing about it isn’t the rest – it’s about learning where we’ve gone wrong and what we’ve not done well enough.

“This is a good Championship that’s full of good defences and some that are really tough to break down.

“We’ve got to find solutions for that. It’s about improving on the training pitch.

“There are 18 cup finals left for us now so we’ve got to push on.”
