The Polish international has yet to make his competitive comeback after recovering from a serious cruciate knee ligament injury.

Zyro returned to Under-23 action at the end of last season after a year on the sidelines and featured in the first team in pre-season, but hasn't been named in a Nuno squad since the 2017/18 campaign kicked off.

Speaking at today's pre-Cardiff press conference, Nuno said the primary concern would be what's best for Zyro.

"It depends on the conditions," Nuno said when asked if Zyro would be loaned out.

"First of all from my point of view we have to look at and respect the player. And what he’s feeling also, and his will.

"If we found all the parts of happy and it’s good for him he’ll go and do it.

"Michal Zyro, everybody knows what he’s been through in the last 18 months.

"He’s coming from a very difficult injury and recovering well – and he needs to play. He knows that, we know that. We’re going to find the best way to do it."

A number of players such as Prince Oniangue, Andy Lonergan and Joe Mason don't currently figure in Nuno's plans.

The head coach said it was possible some of his squad would leave before the August 31 transfer deadline – but reiterated that some of his fringe players will have a role to play this season.

"Maybe they’re not options now but they could be in the future," Nuno said in general of his squad players.

"It’s possible players will move on. We have to look at both sides of the market – coming in and going out and always in a respectful way.

"There are players that have been with us from day one that now are not having many chances and many minutes.

"It’s important to look at those players and see what is best for them.

"It’s a task of the club to take care of all these situations."
