The Baggies travel to Vicarage Road tonight to face Watford with the squad shorn of Maja, who has been ruled out for eight weeks after tearing his ankle ligaments in Saturday’s goalless draw at Bristol City.

Corberan has the option of playing the likes of Matt Phillips, Jeremy Sarmiento, or John Swift as an auxiliary striker alongside Brandon Thomas-Asante.

And the Spaniard has called on all of his wingers and playmakers to step up in the final third over the coming weeks.

Corberan explained: “The key now is to develop the players that we have.

“When you don’t have your striker, you need to play with players that are not strikers, but they need to adapt to playing that position.
