Nacer Chadli enjoyed an impressive World Cup with Belgium.

The Belgium World Cup star is now in talks with the Ligue 1 club, with the move expected to go through before Friday’s European transfer deadline.

Chadli, who joined the Baggies two years ago from Tottenham in a club-record £18million deal, has been eager to leave following the club’s relegation from the Premier League.

The 29-year-old made only five appearances for Albion last season due to injury but then went on to enjoy an impressive summer with Belgium, helping his national team finish third in Russia.

It is understood the Baggies will look to re-invest the funds from Chadli’s transfer prior to the Championship’s loan deadline, which is also on Friday.

The club have, meanwhile, rejected a loan approach from Middlesbrough for striker Hal Robson-Kanu.
