After half a century in the game, popular commentator John Motson will retire in just a few months time.

The journalist, who is famous for his work on Match of the Day, is currently taking part in what the BBC are calling a farewell tour as he bids to work at every Premier League ground for one last time.

And on Saturday he commented at the The Hawthorns for the final time as Albion slipped to defeat against Huddersfield.

To mark the occasion, Motson was presented with a framed Baggies shirt signed by club legend Tony "Bomber" Brown.

It read: "To Motty, best wishes from everyone at WBA."

The former striker presented it to the commentator along with Richard Garlick, the club's director of football administration.

Now 72-years-old, Motson will officially bid farewell following this year's FA Cup final in May.
