Defenders Oisin McEntee and Priestley Farquharson limped off last weekend, but the outlook is not as bad as Saddlers head coach Mat Sadler first feared

The Saddlers take on Bradford City at Valley Parade on Saturday, and risked heading into the game with just two fit central defenders in Donervon Daniels and Harry Williams.

Chris Hussey announced his retirement earlier this month, while Stoke City loanee David Okagbue was injured – out for two-four weeks – in training during the build-up to the defeat against AFC Wimbledon.

Priestley Farquharson and Oisin McEntee then limped off last weekend and Taylor Allen was sent off, and will now serve a three-match suspension.

However, McEntee overcame his late knock and will be available for selection against the Bantams.

Farquharson’s issue looked much more serious, but Sadler has revealed that the club will monitor his progress ahead of Saturday.

Sadler said: “Oisin seems OK. He will be available to play.
