Freddie Draper got Walsall off to the best possible start with a goal in the first minute at Crewe

No other club in League Two has conceded more stoppage time goals than Walsall (three) so far this term.

The Railwaymen had twice fought back from a two-goal deficit against Mansfield and Swindon respectively, and they repeated the trick for a third time to snatch a point against Walsall.

The result may be met with frustration by the Saddlers faithful, but the performance was for the most part was both promising and exciting to watch.

Crewe did dominate possession throughout much of the contest, but it was Walsall who looked the most dangerous, especially in the opening hour.

It took less than 40 seconds for Freddie Draper to notch his maiden EFL goal, and get off the mark in Walsall colours.

Donervon Daniels pumped the ball forward early on and Danny Johnson came to the fore with an instinctive hooked volley over his head.

Liverpool loanee Harvey Davies could only claw his effort as far as Draper, who pounced inside the six-yard box to prod the ball home on the slide.
