The Saddlers have not tasted victory away from home in League Two since Boxing Day at Swindon Town – a run stretching 14 matches.

Sadler’s men have lost both away trips in the league against Morecambe and Wrexham so far, but Sadler is dedicated to reversing that trend against Crewe on Saturday.

“There are tough away games in this division but what we’ve got at this football club is fantastic support both home and away,” Sadler declared.

“Now it’s time to give those guys something to really cheer about. The Morecambe game was a tough one. I thought we deserved to win that game comprehensively. Sometimes that learning experience of managing key moments is exactly the same as we spoke about on Tuesday night.

“It’s certainly not for the want of trying, and certainly not for the want of having our lads mentally focused.
