Ten-man Stafford Rangers maintained their improved form in the Northern Premier, but were forced to settle for a point at home.

Rock-bottom Boro are now unbeaten in six matches in all competitions, but they missed the chance to gain some serious ground on relegation rivals Buxton, who were last night’s visitors in a 0-0 draw to Marston Road.

Hednesford Town crashed to a 3-0 home defeat against Nuneaton Borough in the Southern Central Premier, while Chasetown lost 4-0 at Kidsgrove Athletic in Northern One South East.

Rushall Olympic breezed past Uttoxeter Town into the semi-finals of the Staffordshire Senior Cup with a thumping 7-0 victory.

Kieran Cook bagged a brace, while there were also strikes for Jon Letford, Shaq Whittingham, Danny O’Callaghan and Sam Whittall, as well as an own goal.

Walsall Wood exited the competition though at the hands of Newcastle Town, going down 3-0.

A young Kidderminster Harriers side advanced to the last four of the Worcestershire Senior Cup thanks to Ethan Freemantle’s goal.
