Grealish scored the only goal at St Andrew’s back in March 2019 - having got back up after being assaulted by Blues supporter Paul Mitchell earlier in the match.

The 24-year-old is now giving supporters the chance to win the shirt from the occasion, which he has also signed, with all proceeds going to NHS Charities Together.

A Just Giving page set up on Sunday night had raised nearly £15,000 within 12 hours of going live, with fans asked to make a minimum donation of £10 in order to enter a raffle which will be drawn live online next weekend.

“Everyone knows how important that match was to me,” said Grealish. “This was a big win against our rivals and also continued our march towards promotion.

“I'm delighted to donate this prize to raise money to benefit NHS Charities Together/Association of NHS Charities.”

Grealish’s shirt sale follows a similar gesture by his former Villa team-mate Gabriel Agbonlahor.

The ex-striker held an online charity raffle for the shirt he wore in his final derby appearance against Blues over the weekend, raising nearly £17,000 for NHS Charities Together with more than 1,000 fans entering.

Agbonlahor said: “A huge thank you to all. Ten days ago Jack and I spoke about how we could raise funds for charity and we agreed we’d both like to raffle a shirt which meant a lot to us.

“I remember one of the Birmingham fans tried to grab the shirt off him that day and the good news is they now have another chance to get hold of it.”
