Spicer makes a quick return to the local scene after being sacked by fellow West Midlands League Premier Division outfit Wolverhampton Sporting last month.

He now joins a struggling Bilston side who sit 16th in the league with only two wins in 10 games.

The hierarchy at Bilston parted company with acting boss Noel Cotterill after Saturday’s 2-0 home loss to Smethwick Rangers, their seventh defeat this season.

Spicer was immediately installed as boss and his first game in charge is at Shawbury on Saturday.

Darlaston Town are flying high in third place following a 2-1 win at Cradley Town.

Lucas Hough opened the scoring for Darlo on 11 minutes, netting the rebound after Lucas Hough’s penalty had been saved by Adam Murusiak.

The visitors doubled their lead just before the hour mark when Zico Agyemang slipped the ball beyond Marusiak from 12 yards.

Cradley’s endeavour was rewarded with a goal on 71 minutes, Kai Knight heading home from Adam Skeldon’s free-kick.

Wednesfield went down 3-0 at home to Littleton while Dudley Sports were beaten 3-1 at Bewdley.

Goals from Jamal Fuller and Soms Sibanda earned Wolves Sporting a 2-2 draw at home to Pershore.

In Division One, Dan Bell, Terence Davies, Matthew Hogg and Luke Johnson netted for Tipton in their 4-1 win at Bromyard.

Willenhall crashed 7-1 at Allscott while Gornal Athletic lost 2-1 to rivals Gornal Colts. Wrens Nest won 3-0 at Team Dudley but Bustleholme went down 2-1 at leaders Wellington Amateurs.

Midland League Division One leaders Brocton went goal crazy as they hammered Nuneaton Griff 14-1. Regan Smith led the rout, netting five times.

Heath Hayes also found the scoring boots to run out 6-3 winners at Ashby Ivanhoe.

Dean Williams and Aarron O’Neill both scored twice with Rhys Horton and Ben Wilkinson also netting.
