Lichfield's Finlay Lines’ rivals pay the penalty

Lichfield speedster Finlay Lines claimed his second win in the 2024 Hunts Kart Racing Club Championship at Kimbolton.

Lines was promoted to victory in round two of the competition after post-race penalties were applied to his rivals.

Competing against 30 other drivers in the MiniMax 950 class across the weekend, an engine issue forced the youngster into an early retirement.

Starting heat two in fourth, Lines made a good move on the final corner to claim victory.

He started in14th place on the grid in the final, but climbed up to second place by the final lap. A late overtake bid at the final corner just failed as finished three-hundredths of a second behind the.
