No to traffic

I with several other readers have written in about the changes to Wolverhampton city centre roads and the confusion caused. But this new proposal to pedestrianise Lichfield Street in front of the Art Gallery looks a good idea as outlined in the E&S last week. I hope it is really traffic free, including busses banned. Also, when I go up town about nine in the morning, the present main pedestrianised area of Dudley Street is full of commercial vehicles, so I hope the same thing does not happen outside the Art Gallery. All it needs now is the quirky iconic model of the Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing on the gallery above the Art Gallery main entrance working again, to enthuse the shoppers. It could be named ‘Wolfran’. Our city could have a heart again then. Of course, this is just a start in sorting out the mess.
