French firm DS has introduced a host of upgrades to the 7 Crossback’s equipment list, including a new leather trim finish and a built-in dashcam.

Alezan Brown Nappa leather with a watchstrap pattern can now be specified for the SUV — having previously only been available in black — and is a £2,750 option on Prestige trim levels.

The dashcam, meanwhile, is available on top of the already-existing Premium Safety Pack. The rear-view mirror housed unit can record up to 30 seconds of video before and accident and a minute following, as well as capture individual pictures. The content can then be sent to other devices via a WiFi connection.

Performance grade models can have the Premium Safety Pack with the dashcam added for £1,750, which also includes active blind spot detection, traffic sign recognition, driver attention alert and DS Connected Pilot. It’s £750 on Prestige trim, while it comes in at £400 on range-topping Ultra Prestige cars.

Alongside these new additions, some equipment has now been separated from packs and can be now added individually. These include extended dual-zone automatic climate control for £200 on all cars, and a remotely-operated tailgate alongside keyless entry for £850 on Performance, £400 on Prestige, while remaining standard on Ultra Prestige models.

The DS 7 Crossback is on sale now, along with its updated equipment offerings, with prices starting at £28,095.
