Wolverhampton Ring Road reopens after woman hit by car

A woman was injured today when she was hit by a car on Wolverhampton's Ring Road.

Police were called at around 6.10am after the incident, involving a woman in her 40s, on Ring Road St Peter's at its junction with Waterloo Road.

Her injuries were not believed to be life threatening.

One Twitter user posted an image of police at the scene.

The ring road has now reopened, but the incident caused rush hour delays around the city centre.
