Overrunning roadworks on busy A5 commuter route in Staffordshire are complete
Overrunning roadworks on a busy Staffordshire A-road are complete, highways bosses say.
It comes following delays this morning after the works caused the partial closure of the route to the M6.
The works impacted the A5 in Staffordshire from the island junction with the A449, J12 of the M6 and the island junction with the A4601 in Cannock.
A spokesman for National Highways said: "The overrunning roadworks on the A5 are completed and the road is open southbound between the A449 to M6 J12 and northbound between A4602 to M6 J12. Thanks for your patience."
