Boy seriously injured in Oldbury crash

A boy has been seriously injured in a crash in Oldbury.

A number of other people were also injured in the two-car crash on Wolverhampton Road.

Police asked drivers to avoid the road which was shut at Pound Road towards Quinton.

Sandwell Police tweeted saying: "We're at scene of a serious collision on the southbound stretch of the Wolverhampton Road A4123 in Oldbury. Two cars involved.

"Boy has suffered a serious head injury. Several other casualties.

"Road closed at Pound Road towards Quinton. Likely shut for few hours. Please avoid."
