The last-ditch search is still on to find the owner of the winning ticket from the Lotto draw on July 22 last year, which was bought in Sandwell.

The winning numbers on that date were 2, 7, 11, 23, 37 and 45 and the bonus ball was 19. The ticket-holder matched the five main numbers and the bonus ball to win £1,000,000.

The ticket-holder has until January 18 to claim their prize.

Camelot's Andy Carter, senior winners' advisor at the National Lottery, said: "Time really is running out for the winner of this prize, but we are still hopeful that someone will come forward at the very last minute to claim the money.

"We are urging everyone to check their old tickets one final time or look anywhere a missing Lotto ticket could be hiding.

"This life-changing prize could really help to make dreams become a reality for someone out there and would be a great way to start 2021 – as a millionaire!

“In the current situation, we’re encouraging everyone to check their tickets online at national-lottery.co.uk or by downloading the National Lottery app, and to only buy or check their tickets in retail in line with government guidance.

"Playing online via the website or app means that your ticket is checked, and you get an email notification if you win a prize. You can also scan your retail tickets on the National Lottery app to check if you're a winner."

If you have the winning ticket, call the National Lottery line on 0333 234 5050.
