Several tyre marks have been left on patch at Stevens Park, Wollescote, after it was targeted on Saturday night.

The area is currently used by the over 60s group Sons of Rest for bowling, but it "could be curtains" for the group using the park due to the damage.

Vice-chair Greg Bedford said: "We can't bowl on it at the moment because of the damage – it looks like it could be curtains for us using it.

"The motorbikes have completely ruined it by doing wheelies and circles on it.

"It's just terrible."

A total of 40 members use the bowling green for the activity on Monday, Tuesday and Friday.

Members have been campaigning for Dudley Council to better protect the green.
