Nicolas Rothero, of Windsor Road, Halesowen admitted burgling a home in Cherry Walk, Hollywood on June 20.

The 32-year-old was sentenced to 30 months in prison at Worcester Crown Court on Wednesday.

A West Mercia Police spokesman said afterwards: "Our priority to bring offenders to justice where possible and protect our communities from harm

"Burglaries can have a distressing impact on victims and the offence is completely unacceptable.

"I would urge anybody who has been a victim of crime of this or any other nature to report it on 101 or by calling 999 in an emergency."
