Car-jacker rams police vehicle before fleeing scene in Tipton

A car-jacker was on the run after he rammed a police car with a stolen vehicle in Tipton, say officers.

The car-jacking took place in Central Drive, Coseley, on Sunday evening where a man was forced from his Ford Kuga by another man.

The culprit then drove off before colliding with the police vehicle. No-one was hurt in the incident but the driver fled the scene in the Kuga.

A West Midlands Police spokesman said: "We’re investigating after a vehicle was stolen from Coseley and then rammed into a police car on Sunday.

"We were called after a man was forced from his Ford Kuga during a carjacking in Central Drive, Coseley, at around 8pm.

"The robber made off in the vehicle before he collided with a police car in Tipton. No-one was hurt and the man fled in the Kuga."
