The 17-year-olds were due to appear before Leamington magistrates on Wednesday morning accused over the murder of Ramani Morgan, from Erdington, who was found collapsed in the Stoke area of Coventry around 10.30pm on Saturday.

Police are investigating links to trouble at a house party in Chandos Street shortly before.

Ramani’s family have since paid tribute, saying: "On 29 February, our child was taken away from us. This has totally broken our family. Ramani was so kind, caring, and humble and had a beautiful soul.

"He had the potential of becoming a professional footballer. Ramani had many hopes and dreams and he had his whole life ahead of him.

"Ramani was the best son, brother, grandson, nephew and cousin anyone could ever wish for.

"Ramani was loved by everyone that knew him. We would like to thank everyone for their support so far, including the police, members of public at the scene, witnesses and also our family and friends.

“We would also like to thank those that have paid tribute to our boy.

“Moving forward we would like to appeal for anyone with any information to come forward to ensure we get the justice that Ramani deserves.

“As a family we would like to ask the public to respect our privacy at this sad time."

West Midlands Police have spoken to a number of people who were at the house party, but still need to hear from anyone with information.
