Pair bailed after child found with head injuries in Stourbridge

Two people have been released on police bail after a child was found with head injuries in Stourbridge.

Police were called to an address in the Wollaston area on Monday.

Two people were arrested on wilful ill-treatment after the child was found with head injuries. The child was taken to hospital.

A man, aged 20, and a woman, aged 21, were arrested on Tuesday. They have since been bailed pending further enquiries.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "They have been released on bail pending further enquiries."

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We can confirm we were called to reports of a medical emergency at an address at 3.55pm on Monday. One ambulance attended the scene.

“We treated one patient at the scene, a child, before transporting them to hospital for further assessment.”
