WATCH: Axeman steals cash in Walsall raid
CCTV has been released showing the moment an axeman raided a shop in Walsall.

The footage shows a man armed with an axe demanding cash and lashing out at a worker in a convenience store on Wolverhampton Road, Birchills.

The staff member handed over a bag of coins to 38-year-old Zia Rafiq, who fled despite a customer trying to stop him.
Rafiq, of Alumwell Road, Walsall, was identified by a police officer who watched CCTV images of the attack on January 17 – but the offender insisted he was elsewhere when the robbery took place.
Rafiq was sentenced to seven years in prison at Birmingham Crown Court on April 24.
