Boy, 16, injured in Wolverhampton stabbing

A 16-year-old boy was stabbed in the face and back in Wolverhampton last night.

The teenager suffered stab wounds to his back, arm, leg and face in the attack in the Park Village area of Wolverhampton.

Emergency services rushed to the scene of the attack in Cannock Road at around 6pm last night and West Midlands Police has now launched an investigation.

A spokesman for the force said: "Police were called by the ambulance service last night after a 16-year-old boy was stabbed on Cannock Road, Park Village, Wolverhampton.

"The boy suffered stab wounds to his back, arm, leg and face in the attack, which took place at some time between 6pm and 6.20pm.

"His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

"The investigation is at an early stage and anyone with information can contact us."
