Woman charged after crash where motorcyclist taken to hospital

A woman has been charged with failing to provide a breathe specimen after a crash between a car and motorbike in Oldbury.

The accident took place on Hagley Road West near to the junction with Stanley Road at 8.45pm on April 1. One man, a motorcyclist, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Kathryn Walmsley, age 33, of Castle Road West, Oldbury, will appear at Dudley Magistrates Court on April 30.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: "We were called at 8.44pm outside a vets on Hagley Road West.

"One ambulance attended. We treated and conveyed one man, a motorcyclist, who had been involved in a road traffic collision.

"He suffered serious injuries and was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for further treatment."
