Man in court over Bearwood danger dogs claim

A dog owner was due in court today accused of letting two suspected Pit Bulls run loose in a street.

Muneer Ahmed, 33, of Priory Close, Smethwick, was due at Sandwell Magistrates' Court today to hear accusations he let the dogs roam uncontrolled in Richmond Road, Bearwood, on Monday.

One animal was shot dead by police, while the second was recovered by West Midlands Police's Dangerous Dogs Unit. Ahmed faces one count of allowing dogs to be dangerously out of control in public.
