Top 10 accountancy firm Moore Stephens is inviting representatives of growing businesses to attend the free event on May 22, which will see investors from a number of companies share their expertise during a panel discussion.

Among the topics discussed will be Brexit, and what the implications of leaving the EU will be for investors, with audience participation encouraged.

Chaired by Moore Stephens partner Damian Ryan, the panel also includes Julian Dennard, Investment Director at Mercia Technologies, Tong Gu, Investment Lead at Accelerated Digital Ventures, Giovanni Finocchio, Investment Director at Midven, and Jean de Fougerolles, CEO at Ascension Ventures.

Mr Ryan said: “We have assembled a collection of some of the finest investors around and want growing businesses that are looking to the future to take this opportunity to benefit from their knowledge and experience.

“This is an open forum for investors to find out where the smart money is going for the year ahead.

“It will provide a platform for discussion and networking with likeminded people.

“We’ll also be taking a look at what Brexit means for growing businesses and the UK economic outlook as a whole, before a lively question and answer session.”

New speakers and topics are set to be added over the coming weeks.

Tong Gu of Accelerated Digital Ventures, said: “My job is to ensure Accelerated Digital Ventures’ investments reach the most promising tech-enabled start-ups growing under the leadership of ambitious founders.

“Having personally raised venture funding in the past, I understand the importance of building lasting relationships between entrepreneurs and the investors who support them.

“This will be a great chance for growing businesses to learn more about how to invest smartly and what benefits that can bring to their plans.”

The event will be held at The REP at Centenary Square, with registration at 3:30pm, talks from 4pm, and networking from 5:30pm.
