The victim was pulled from a silver Mini in Birmingham and hustled into a black Audi, West Midlands Police said.

A passer-by spotted the suspected kidnapping in Kings Heath's Cole Valley Road and dialled 999 at 12.20pm.

The force added: "It’s understood the man was punched and kicked before being driven off in a black Audi; the victim’s Mini was also driven away during the incident.

"Quick-time enquiries led officers to an address in Kings Heath where a 39-year-old man was arrested just after 4pm and a vehicle seized."

But police have not identified the victim, who is believed to be an Asian male in his 30s and around 5ft 7ins.

Officers are now urging him to get in touch after the incident on Friday.

Contact the force via Live Chat at WMP Online or by calling 101, quoting log 1056 from June 7.
