Suspect charged with 33 offences appears in court

A man charged with a total of 33 offences after a string of incidents across the region has appeared in court.

Mitchell Humphries appeared at Walsall Magistrates' Court

Mitchell Humphries was remanded in custody after appearing at Walsall Magistrates' Court on Thursday.

He was charged with 10 counts of burglary, eight counts of attempted burglary and 10 counts of theft of a motor vehicle.

The 19-year-old was also charged with theft from a motor vehicle, driving whilst disqualified, driving without insurance, vehicle interference and attempted robbery.

The charges relate to incidents alleged to have taken place in Staffordshire and the West Midlands between November 27 last year and January 17.

Humphries, of Alamein Road, Willenhall, will appear at a crown court hearing at a later date.

He was arrested as part of a joint operation between Staffordshire Police and West Midlands Police on January 23.
