Black Country automotive firm to take on 100 new workers

Almost 100 new jobs will be created at a Black Country automotive business this year.

Cab Automotive Ltd in Tipton has been boosted by Jaguar Land Rover's expansion and funding from the Government's £1 billion Regional Growth Fund.

All of the new workers will be in place by the end of the year. Around 30 staff have already been recruited since January 1.

The car interiors company, based in Sedgley Road East, had 210 employees at the start of 2012. This has now risen to 309, with around another 100 posts on the way.

Managing director John Faulkner said today: "These new jobs are not only good news for Cab Auto but great news for the local community in the West Midlands.

"Cab Auto are bucking the trend with a very strong performance in 2013."

Cab Automotive makes interior components such as seats and trims for JLR, Rover, Aston Martin, McLaren, Honda, Toyota and Bentley.
