After the first two nights in Wolverhampton, the action moved to Manchester, with the promotion organising two coaches for fans looking to make the journey from the West Midlands.

The rowdy crowd saw Pentagon and Fenix finally get one over on Chris Brookes, with the Mexicans defeating Brookes and Kyle Fletcher to win what had been an excellent tournament.

They would, however, require help from referee Shay Purser, who after a long weekend of abuse from Schadenfreude finally took action to prevent Kid Lykos interfering on Brookes and Fletcher’s behalf.

Both teams were in action earlier in the show, with Pentagon and Fenix defeating Santana and Ortiz in a furious sprint of a tag team match, whilst Schadenfreude overcame the Fight Club: PRO Tag Team Champions Davey Vega and Mat Fitchett.

It will be interesting to see if Schadenfreude will demand a title shot at the promotion’s next show in Wolverhampton.

Speaking of championship action, Mark Davis made his third defence of the weekend, barely winning a blockbuster four-way match also featuring Birmingham’s Dan Maloney, former WWE Crusierweight Champion PAC, and star of New Japan Pro-Wrestling, Will Ospreay.

This was a brilliant match, with all four men pushing each other to their limits. Maloney very nearly won the title, after trying to steal the pinfall after PAC hit his Black Arrow slash on the champion. He would however be ultimately be the one to be pinned by Davis.

Looking back at the whole weekend, it cannot be stressed enough what a tremendous success the weekend was for Fight Club: PRO.

They managed to sell out all three shows, something they’ve weren’t able to do even when running smaller venues such as The Fixxon Nightclub, and presented some of the best pro-wrestling in the world.

More impressively still, they did it without British Strong Style, the local superstars who were long synonymous with the promotion.

On their way back from starring in WWE television tapings in Glasgow, Trent Seven, Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne made sure to make a surprise appearance in Manchester to thank the fans and introduce the night’s action.

Fight Club: PRO returns to The Hangar on Friday, May 24. All three nights of the Dream Tag Team Invitational 2019 will shortly be available as part of the Fight Club: PRO Unlimited Streaming Service, or to purchase separately as a DVD or Video-on-Demand.
