The Wonder Stuff frontman Miles Hunt, and Ned's Atomic Dustbin stars Jon Penney and Rat will perform at the event.

Miles, Jonn and Rat appeared together on a 12-date tour with their respective full bands earlier this year, playing to 20,000 fans across the UK - the first time the two bands had shared a stage for 28 years.

Banstock, which will take place in the grounds of Wolverhampton's Bantock House Museum, will be the first ever ticketed acoustic show that they have played together.

Other acts that will appear at the festival include The Wild Flowers, Two Faced Tom and The Bootleg Boys, Jess Silk, The Humdrum Express, Tasha Jerawan and Sam Draisey.

City of Wolverhampton council cabinet member for city economy, John Reynolds, says tickets are selling fast and encourages everyone to 'grab them while they can'.

“We have a wealth of local talent in Wolverhampton and it is events like Banstock that give them an opportunity to shine," he said.

The Bantock café will be open for visitors to buy refreshments, as well as the Banstock bar serving ale.
