The exclusive screenings mark the 80th anniversary of the iconic Victor Fleming film, based on the L. Frank Baum 1900 children's boo The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Starring Judy Garland, Frank Morgan, Ray Bolger and more; the movie tells the tale of Dorothy Gale, who is swept away from a farm in Kansas to a magical land of Oz in a tornado.

She embarks on a quest with her new friends to see the Wizard who can help her return home to Kansas and help her friends as well - but the Wicked Witch of the West is hot on her trail and determined to plunge Oz and all its inhabitants into a world of darkness.

The film became an iconic piece of popular culture. It was nominated for six Academy Awards, including Best Picture, but lost to Gone with the Wind, also directed by Victor Fleming. It did win in two other categories: Best Original Song for Over the Rainbow and Best Original Score by Herbert Stothart.

It was among the first 25 films that inaugurated the National Film Registry list in 1989 and is also one of the few films on UNESCO's Memory of the World Register.

According the the Library of Congress, it is the most seen film in movie history.
