Sharon Needles, Alaska, Jinkx Monsoon and more: RuPaul's Drag Race stars to perform in Birmingham Halloween show

A series of RuPaul's Drag Race stars will appear in Birmingham next week as part of a spooktacular Halloween show.

The Heels of Hell tour comes to the O2 Academy next week, featuring the likes of Sharon Needles, Alaska, Jinkx Monsoon, Willam, Ivy Winters, Latrice Royale, and Aja.

Sharon Needles, the drag persona of 36-year-old Aaron Coady, won season four of the hit US reality TV show.

She has sine gone on to release three full-length studio albums, star in Drag Race spin-off series RuPail's Drag U, and was voted Best Drag Performer of Pittsburgh in 2015.

Alaska rose to prominence during season five of the show, and well on to win spin-off series RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars Two.

Since appearing on RuPaul's Drag Race, Alaska has toured and performed, appearing in RuPaul's Drag Race Battle of the Seasons shows, the Drag Stars at Sea cruises, custom one-woman shows such as a Stevie Nicks tribute called Stevie Forever, a cabaret show called Red for Filth, and a holiday show called Blue Christmas, and solo show An Evening with Alaska.

She has also released four studio albums, including one with fellow Drag Race stars Willam Belli and Courtney Act.

Seattle drag artist Jinkx Monsoon competed in season five alongside Alaska, and eventually won the series.

The queen, created by 31-year-old artist Jerrick Hoffer, has gone on to create hit stage shows including The Vaudevillians alongside musician Major Scales, Jinkx Monsoon is Cursed, and The Ginger Snapped.

She has released two studio albums, including The Ginger Snapped released earlier this year.

Willam Belli went down in Drag Race history as the only queen to be disqualified from the show.

The star has appeared in a number of films and TV series, such as American Pie: The Wedding, Nip/Tuck, Criminal Minds, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, and more.

Willam also released his first book, Suck Less, last year.

Ivy Winters is the stage name of Dustin Winters, a 32-year-old drag queen who competed on season five of RuPaul's Drag Race.

Before Drag Race, he worked as a circus performer for eight and a half years in New York.

He was a costume designer for Lady Bunny and season three contestant Manila Luzon.

Timothy Wilcots - better known as Latrice Royale - starred on season four of RuPaul's Drag Race and later, All Stars season one.

Latrice has gone on to feature on various Drag Race tours with fellow queens, as well as being picked as a professor for RuPaul show Drag U.

The queen's new show, titled after her 2016 E.P Here's To Life, features her singing and telling stories from her life accompanied by her husband Christopher. The show has sold out in the US ahead of being brought to the UK.

Aja starred in Drag Race's ninth season, and was the breakout star of All Stars seaon three.

Aja released the EP In My Feelings in 2018, and currently hosts a web series called Ayo Sis on WOW Presents Plus.

Heels of Hell comes to Birmingham's O2 Academy on October 24.
