Oldbury curry house named best restaurant in the Midlands at English Curry Awards

Little Bangla on the Langley High Street was crowned on Monday at a lavish ceremony at Birmingham's Holiday Inn, with more than 400 guests in attendance.

This isn't the first award the curry house has received, having won the Bangladeshi Restaurant of the Year award at last year's English Curry Awards ceremony.

Reviewing the restaurant last year, Express & Star reporter Andy Richardson called Little Bangla "one of the best child-friendly Bangladeshi or Indian restaurants in the West Midlands" and praised the Oldbury curry house for its community work, which includes working with schools and youth groups.

He also said "service was exceptional", his chicken tikka was "delightful", the chicken ashami was "delicious", and the chilli-infused sauce was "heavenly".
