Cannock Soroptimists raise £960 for women’s support services
Three organisations supporting vulnerable women and children will share the money raised at a quiz night attended by 20 teams
Cannock Soroptimists have raised £960 for three organisations supporting women and children affected by violence and abuse.

The money will be shared between Pathway women’s refuge, Staffordshire Women’s Aid and the unit for vulnerable women at New Cross Hospital’s maternity department.
The funds were raised at a quiz night organised by a team led by Soroptimist Tracey Stokes, with questions set by president Trish Smith.
A total of 20 teams took part, with We Are Smarticus taking the winning spot.

The evening also included a raffle, with prizes concealed in numbered bottle bags, and a fish and chip supper.
Cannock Soroptimists regularly support the three organisations as part of their work to prevent violence against women and girls and help those affected by abuse.
The group thanked everyone who attended and contributed to the fundraising effort.
