Tributes to man killed and those injured in Wolverhampton Lidl crash left at scene
Tributes have been left outside the entrance to Lidl two days after the incident.
A collection of flowers have been left by members of the public outside a supermarket where a man died following a fatal collision.
The flowers were being tied to the fence outside the Lidl supermarket on Finchfield Hill in Wolverhampton as a way of paying tribute to the man who died on Friday evening after a car crashed through the entrance to the store.

One bouquet had a message written on it, which read: “Thoughts and prayers for the young man who died, his family and friends, all injured and all shoppers, staff and this local neighbourhood.”
The incident occurred after a woman in her 70s was believed to have suffered a ‘medical incident’ and left the man, who was in his 30s, dead, as well as another woman seriously injured and several others requiring treatment at the scene.

It also left the store severely damaged, with aisles and check out counters smashed, the front doors destroyed, a metal bollard at the front crushed and debris and glass strewn all over the floor.
The car was removed from the store and recovered on Saturday evening, and security crews at the store have been seen erected metal fences at the entrance and beginning a clean up operation at the store.

A spokeswoman for Lidl said: “We are deeply saddened by the incident at our Finchfield Hill store and our hearts go out to the man's family and loved ones, and all involved in this tragic event.
“We are doing everything we can to support our store team and assist West Midlands Police with their ongoing investigation.
“The store will remain closed until further notice.”
West Midlands Police have been contacted for a comment.
