BookTok influencer to share reading passion at Stourbridge Library
Kelly Bloomer loves reading...
Kelly Bloomer loves reading – so much so that she has been recommending books on BookTok for the last three years.

She’ll be talking about her role as a BookTok influencer at Stourbridge Library on Wednesday, May 6 at 6.30pm. Her favourite genres are thriller, romantasy, fantasy and horror and her favourite authors include John Marrs, Sarah J Maas and Lucinda Berry.
BookTok is a massive and influential TikTok subcommunity where creators like Kelly produce emotional reaction videos to share and review books.
“It’s essentially a digital book club that has become a powerful marketing force in publishing that’s credited with changing the way people find new literature to read,” said librarian Jodi Wray.
“It will be fascinating to hear Kelly talk about her own experiences as a BookToker and why she thinks BookTok has become such a successful platform in only a few years. She’s happy to answer questions at the end.”
Operating under the Better brand, GLL is the not-for-profit social enterprise that runs Dudley Libraries on behalf of the council.
“Content creators can help make or break a book and have revolutionised reading for many,” said Stephanie Rhoden, GLL Partnership Manager.
“We’re delighted that Kelly is coming to Stourbridge Library and look forward to hearing what she has to say.”
