Champions are riding in to Monmore

Two recently-crowned national champions go head-to-head when Wolverhampton face Peterborough in a vital Premiership clash at Monmore tonight (7.30pm).

Sweden’s Jacob Thorssell lines up for Parrys International Wolves and Charles Wright, who won the British title in stunning style in Manchester, is included for the Panthers.

And in a bonus for fans, reigning world champion Tai Woffinden will be making a personal appearance to promote his forthcoming new book and his merchandise range.

Wolverhampton need to keep their solid home form going to keep themselves in contention for a play-off place – but they also need away wins if they are going to make it.

Kyle Howarth is starting to find his confidence after a tricky spell.

He said: “We’re starting to put statements out there as we fight for one of those play-off positions and we’re not just going to roll over and give up without battling.

“We’ve been on it a lot more lately and we’ve been delivering as a team like we know we can.

“I’m getting my confidence back.” now as well; it’s been a knocked a bit over the past month or so with everything that’s gone on but it’s good to be back making some starts, I’m feeling good on the bike and most importantly I’ve started scoring some points again and now I’m down at reserve the team need me to do that.”

Peterborough include former Wolverhampton league title winner Ty Proctor in their side alongside ever-popular Scott Nicholls, who had a successful spell in Wolves colours at the start of the season. King’s Lynn’s Nicklas Porsing also steps in for the injured Josh Bates at reserve.
