Chelsea 1 Wolves 1 - 10 March 2019
It's a Sunday. Less than two weeks after Wolves had fallen to a second defeat of the season to bottom of the table Huddersfield Town. But this isn't Huddersfield Town, it's Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, and Wolves are here to do what they've done all season, upset yet another member of the top six.
It began as expected, with Eden Hazard asking the questions and Wolves' defence steadfast in their reply. But it was in the 56th minute when Diogo Jota turned on the halfway line and found his partner Raul Jimenez ambling beside him.
Together, they meticulously dissected the Chelsea defence with a couple of passes before Jimenez bundled the ball into the back of the net via a deflection from Cesar Azpilicueta.
At a goal down, Chelsea continued to press as the home crowed bayed them on, with Rui Patricio saving two speculative efforts from Gonzalo Higuain and Pedro.
Willian couldn't beat the Portuguese keeper from 20 yards but Wolves failed to snuff out the danger, as in the 92nd minute of the match, Eden Hazard whipped the ball into the back of the net from a remarkably similar position to that of his Brazilian teammate's chance just moments before.
Not to be for Nuno's men - but quite the performance.
Wolves 2 Chelsea 1 - 5 December 2018
Less than two weeks after Wolves had fallen to their first defeat of the season to a suffering Huddersfield Town, Nuno's side hosted the Blues hoping to cause an upset.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek's shot on the edge of the box in the 18th minute seemed to be heading straight into the arms of Rui Patricio before Conor Coady inadvertently put the ball past his own keeper, giving Chelsea the lead.
Chelsea would have a few more chances. Antonio Rudiger launched one over the bar and Willian wasted a one-on-one opportunity, much to the dismay of then-Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri.
Wolves had renewed vigour after the break.
Morgan Gibbs-White turned and left N'Golo Kante for dead, slotting in Jimenez who fired the ball under Kepa to equalise.
Just four minutes later, Joao Moutinho stole the ball from a dawdling Willian, playing in Matt Doherty down the right who squared to Jota to tap in from two yards out.
The comeback was complete and Europe was calling.
Wolves 0 Chelsea 2 - 18 February 2017
Two years before Wolves would beat Liverpool on their way to the Wembley, they would do it at Anfield before facing Chelsea in the fifth round of the FA Cup in 2017.
Wolves, now under the tutelage of Paul Lambert, sensed another upset against the Premier League leaders after their heroics on Merseyside.
George Saville hit a left-footed strike against the post early on in what was Wolves' best chance of the match.
In the 65th minute Willian sent in a drifting cross that unfurled the defence and found the unmarked Pedro who comfortably headed into the back of the net.
As Wolves found the match drifting away from them, Diego Costa fiercly finished to make it 2-0 and the game was up.
Chelsea 6 Wolves 0 - 25 September 2012
A very different time for Wolves and one they'll be hoping to forget.
Gary Cahill scored Chelsea's first in the fourth minute from a corner and Wolves had already succumbed to defeat.
Ryan Bertrand and Juan Mata scored the second and third before half-time came to offer Wolves a respite.
The barrage continued as Chelsea added three more after the break, compiling Wolves' misery.
Manager Stale Solbakken said after the match that ''There is no one else to blame but me.''
He was sacked just over three months later.
Wolves 1 Chelsea 2 - 2 January 2012
In the year that Chelsea would win the Champions League for the first time in their history, they would be pushed to the very edge against Wolves at Molineux.
Brazilian midfielder Ramires slammed the ball into the roof of Wolves' net after Chelsea's corner had been flicked on, only for Stephen Ward to equalise in the 84th minute while the Molineux crowd was falling over themselves with exuberance.
Sickeningly for the home side, Frank Lampard would score in the 89th minute, helping to bring Wolves' time in the Premier League to an end later that spring.
