The Portuguese manager was available at 40/1 this morning to take over the managerial reigns at Goodison Park, but it now as short as 12/1 in places.

Burnley manager Sean Dyce is still the 5/6 favourite to replace Ronald Koeman, with Dudley-born former England manager Sam Allardyce second favourite at 6/4.

But the significant market move on Nuno has him priced as the current third favourite in the betting with interim boss David Unsworth and Wales manager Chris Coleman available at 14/1 and 16/1 respectively.

Watford manager Marco Silva (previously linked with Wolves) is 16/1 in places with former boss David Moyes a 25/1 shot to make a sensational return to Merseyside.

Former Wolves boss Paul Lambert is a 50/1 outsider to get the job.
