Five things we learnt from West Brom's draw with Spurs
West Brom continue their promising start to the season by drawing against Spurs in a testing encounter, but what did we learn from the result?
Clinical Nacer Chadli has added a threat

Albion's record signing scored against his former club at the weekend, and there's no question the former Spurs man has added a ruthlessness in the final third to this previously wasteful Albion team.

Four goals and two assists in his first five games is a fantastic return, and you never know, his arrival might inspire a few more players to look favourably at the Baggies.
No longer the place creativity goes to die, The Hawthorns could soon become a refuge for top quality fringe players.
The left-back problem still isn't sorted

For a couple of weeks Brendan Galloway looked promising, and then the young Everton loanee made a few positional mistakes. Then Allan Nyom took over, and the tall, rangy full-back looked every inch a Pulis player.
But against Spurs, the deadline day signing was all over the place. Better defenders than Nyom will be bamboozled by Spurs this season, but Pulis won't have looked kindly on his worrying tendency to vacate his position.
Both Galloway and Nyom have got potential, but both of them need a few more hours with Pulis on the training pitch.
Chris Brunt can add something in midfield

Albion's long-serving utility man received a well-deserved warm welcome from the fans on Saturday, but he wasn't just an extra body on the pitch during his first game in nearly eight months.
A couple of pin-point passes forward and some dangerous deliveries into the box served as a reminder that Brunt can offer this team some quality on the wing.
Pulis has played him at left-back ever since he arrived, but with Nyom and Galloway now at the club, Brunt should be pushed further forward.
Ben Foster has bounced back

When the back four is drilled so well and the Baggies are so hard to break down, it's easy to forget just how good Foster is.
This is his sixth season in an Albion shirt, and even though Boaz Myhill did admirably well when Foster was sidelined, performances like Saturday prove it was the right call to bring the former England international back into the first team.
It's no mean feat returning from such a serious knee injury like that in your 30s but Foster is quietly doing a brilliant job of it.
Tony Pulis is making progress

Evans, Fletcher, Chadli, Rondon – the spine of this Albion team is starting to take shape, and all four of those players were brought in by Pulis.
He's made some mistakes, of course he has, but he's also guided this team to safety in relative comfort for two seasons in a row during a transitional time at boardroom level.
This team is better than last season's, that's for sure, and relegation is not much of a worry at the moment. It may be slow going, but Pulis is building something good.
