Boaz Myhill: We were denied by the best ever

Albion keeper Boaz Myhill says Hugo Lloris's save to deny Jonas Olsson was the best he's ever seen.

Shocked that the Spurs fans behind him didn't applaud the Frenchman's match-saving intervention, Myhill reckons it was two points dropped for Albion rather then one gained.

Lloris denied Olsson from close range with roughly 15 minutes to go as the Baggies attempted to find a winner in an impressive second half performance.

"I think I've seen the best save I've ever seen in real life," said an obviously-impressed Myhill.

"You can't legislate for saves like that. I was stood in front of the Spurs fans and I'm half turning around going 'aren't you going to clap that?' because that's one of the best I've seen.

"They must not have been able to see that far up the pitch.

"It's a great save, unfortunately we couldn't get the win, but that's three unbeaten now which is brilliant."

Lloris made the save at 1-1 after James McClean's header had cancelled out Dele Alli's volley in the first half.

The ball travelled 50 yards before Alli volleyed it through Myhill's legs and the keeper said the swirling windy conditions made decision-making difficult.

"Warming up before the game I didn't know what was going on," said the Welsh stopper. "I was practising crosses and it was just a lottery, the ball was swinging around all over the shop and it just made it hard to read.

"From my point of view, I just waited for it to try and work out where it was going to go and obviously one of their players has gambled and latched on to it."

Apart from the goal, Myhill was only called into action when Mousa Dembele had a tame long-range effort and Erik Lamela put a header on target. Neither troubled him, although Craig Dawson did have to clear a Harry Kane shot off the line.
