Despite the sides sharing nine goals between them in two league meetings during the 17/18 season nothing could split the sides during the first half with Chinedu Okoro going close for the hosts.

However, six minutes after the break Rangers did break the deadlock with loanee Bradley Grayson continuing his scoring streak.

That lead lasted just four minutes as on the 55th minute the Boro were caught on the break and a quick counterattack resulted in Reece Leek pulling his side level.

Boro, who sit a tier in the non-league pyramid above their hosts, pushed to regain their lead and were again caught on the break with Reece Gibson firing home the winner.

Rangers’ efforts to get back into the tie were in vein and they crashed out of the FA Trophy at the first qualifying round.
