Defender Bjorn Engels is targeting victory at Norwich this Saturday after admitting Villa must stay switched on for 90 minutes.

Dean Smith’s side head to Norfolk aiming for a morale-boosting result after back-to-back weekends of frustration in the Premier League.

Villa have thrown away winning positions against Arsenal and Burnley, having led twice in both matches.

Last Saturday they conceded within two minutes of going 2-1 up against the Clarets, and Engels said: “It was only a few seconds. That cannot happen. It is the same feeling as the previous week.

“We need to restart and go to Norwich to win. We will give 200 per cent to win there and see what happens.”

Engels accepted his share of the blame for Burnley’s second leveller last Saturday, scored by Chris Wood.

He said: “In defence we could also have done a little bit better, especially me with the second goal.

“Had I been a little more behind I could have headed it away. I am disappointed with that as well.”
