Wolves travel to Sunderland tomorrow (12.30pm) needing to beat the Black Cats to complete a full set of victories over Championship clubs in 2017/18.

And Saiss hopes to start the party with the travelling fans in the north east before thousands descend on the city centre for Monday’s parade and festivities.

“It is important to finish the season with a win,” said midfielder Saiss, who is also expected to go to this summer’s World Cup with Morocco. “We want to win the game and pass the 100 points mark so I think it is important for us.

“It is another objective for us to complete at the end of the season.

“So we have to stay fit for the World Cup and stay professional because it is the 46th game of the season.

“It is not because we win the league and get promotion. We have to stay professional and play the game to win.”

Wolves have beaten everybody they have faced in the Championship this season – except rock-bottom Sunderland, who held them to a goalless draw at Molineux back in December.

Saiss wants the full set before returning for Monday’s parade through the city and promotion party in West Park – although he is taken aback by just how much the city has celebrated Wolves reaching the Premier League.

“Yes it is funny, because, for me, we just play football,” said Saiss.

“It is funny but I can understand that they have waited for a long time to come back in Premier League.

“Wolves are one of the big clubs in England with a big history.

“Every game at home our fans are with us. They deserve this promotion as well.

“I hope now we will do good in the Premier League with the players, staff and fans.

It is important for us, when you play at home, that your fans who every week, every minute, until the end.

“We will enjoy Monday with the fans and our family and after that we come back for the World Cup.”
