Police officer in hospital after Wolverhampton crash
A police dog handler and two others have been taken to hospital after his van, which had three dogs inside, crashed on a busy Wolverhampton road today.
The officer's van rolled over after it was involved in a smash on the junction of Willenhall Road and Moseley Road in Portobello.
Firefighters called to the scene said at least one dog inside the van had to be sedated by a vet.
Police said none of the dogs - two German Shepherds and a springer spaniel - were injured in the crash, at 11.10am.
The road was closed until around 1pm.
The three people were taken to hospital as a precaution.
Any witnesses should call police on 101.
