Scotch mist

Scottish independence? Good luck with that. Last time they held a referendum I was surprised how upset I was at the thought of them leaving the UK.

Dr Johnson

That was before the SNP swept the board at the last General Election, infesting the House of Commons with dozens of whingeing misfits.

This time I couldn't care less if they stay or go. The ties of history are strong but the world is always changing and if the Scots really want to go it alone, they should be encouraged to do so.

It will increase their taxes, wreck their economy and they won't have us or the EU to rescue them. It’s not much of a prospect but, as Dr Johnson said: 'The noblest prospect which a Scotchman ever sees, is the high road that leads him to England.’ Watch out for mass immigration.
