Two lanes remain closed on the M6 northbound due to a multi-vehicle crash.
Lanes three and four are closed between J3 near Coventry and J3A.
Emergency services are said to be in attendance.
National Highways has advised motorists to allow extra time if travelling in that direction as there are delays of up to 45 minutes and four miles of congestion.
